The Bridal Diaries – Manisha

My stunning Manisha…

Finally getting chance to show you guys this beauties big day!

The weddings in the Indian culture are VERY long – so this is a lot of pressure for the makeup artist… The makeup has to last longer than your usual wedding parties, literally from the crack of dawn until midnight. The day is full of such exciting rituals and different aspects of the culture.

This therefore means the bride requires an outfit change… not at all a bad thing! A girl can never have enough outfits right?

So here is a walk through the beautiful Wedding function of the lovely Manisha…

Manisha wore this nude and pink Sari for her Pooja, she wanted to compliment her outfit with a nude and fresh faced look for the first segment of her day. We went for a timeless contoured smoke with sculpted cheekbones and a dusky lip – She looked like a complete doll and was very happy with her look…

Manisha then changed into a traditional Indian Lengha which was beautiful, bright red complimented with emerald green and gold. Stunning combo! For this outfit I created a deeper look for the Bride to give her a more traditional, heavier look. I added a deep red into the eyes which is by #Illamasqua – the only brand I have found to actually stock a RED shadow without it being on the purple or pinky side which will ultimately ruin the shades in the eyes. I added a #Chanel shimmer shadow onto the lid to create that bridal POP! Contoured the cheekbones more with a deeper shade from the #AnastasiaBeverlyHills contour palette alongside a beautiful reddy/pink blusher from #Illamasqua. I brought the look together with the one and only Russian Red from #Mac.

Manisha sent me such beautiful feedback where she told me my makeup had lasted her entire day without moving or creasing… this was probably the most important feedback for me! Was very happy ❤

Wishing Manisha & Hubby a lifetime of happiness and blessings

Lots of Love, A xx
